PURPOSE: To automatically connect roller labels by stop-fixing the edge of the first roller label in use at the upper position and raising the edge of the second roller label at the lower position and closely attaching the both edges.

CONSTITUTION: When the roller label (a) of the first roller label A in use is exhausted, the first photoelectric tube (a') senses the edge of the label and stops a pinch roller 10, and the roller label is allowed to stop at the position of the second photoelectric tube 2 and attracted upwardly by a vacuum plate 8. While, the edge of the roller label (b) of the second roller label B is loaded onto a sponge S on a vacuum plate 8' and attracted downwardly. When the roller label (a) stops, the vacuum plate 8' is raised by a piston P, and then the roller labels (a) and (b) are adhesion-fixed by an adhesive tape which is previously attached onto the roller label (b), and automatic connection is permitted. Further, the superfluity in the roller label adhesion is provided by the balance rollers 11 and 15, and the work is prevented from being suspended.
