CONSTITUTION: The end section of a composite blade, in which split blades 11 are stacked slidably, is detected by a snow-removal width detector, and a shutter blade 31 is moved to the position of the end section of the composite blade. The markers of an intersection, etc., are detected by a marker detector 51 for a shutter, and the blade 31 is lowered and snow-throwing is suspended. The state of snow on a road surface is estimated by an ultrasonic vibration receiving element 5n, etc., and the contact pressure of the blades is adjusted. The number of revolutions of an engine and the state of the operation of an antilocking brake, etc., are detected, and the contact pressure of the blades 11 is selected in response to the state of travelling. The blades 11 are brought to a freely turning-over and returnable state through a separable joint, and made to correspond to an obstruction while a road obstruction marker is detected by a marker detector 5m for temporary avoidance, and the end sections of the blades 11 are lifted and the obstruction is avoided. Accordingly, snow can safely be removed easily at high speed.
