Abstract:
PURPOSE:To test power absorption over low-speed rotation by coupling an eddy current dynamometer with a braking function which uses a disk brake automatically and increasing total absorbed torque. CONSTITUTION:A control signal for the eddy current dynamometer ECDY is fed back to a matching circuit D1 through a setter S1, amplifiers A2 and A3, thyristor THY, ECDY, torque detector LC, amplifiers A4 and A5, and limiter LMT. A control signal for the disk brake DB is fed back to a matching circuit D4 through the setter S1, a character setting circuit CV, amplifiers A6-A8, a servo valve SEV, a brake operating cylinder SIL, the DB, the torque detector LC, and the amplifier A4. While control by the ECDY is possible, a relay ry1 is closed to inhibit the operation of the DB and as rotation decreases in speed, a maximum current if is flowed through the ECDY to open the ry1 for operating the A6, allowing the DB to start operation. Thus, a test is performed smoothly at a low rotational frequency.
