To infallably prevent operation mistakes of an automatic coupling cover and an automatic coupler of rolling stock by preventing an incorrect operation from being accepted even if a mistake occurs in an operation procedure.
The uncoupling motion power supply of the automatic coupler 12 is cut by intercepting a circuit that connects a controlling means 20 of the automatic coupler 12 and a power supply by a relay 26 arranged between the controlling means 20 of the automatic coupler 12 and the power supply and its motion is obstructed in all states except for the case where the automatic coupling cover 14 is in a released position. When installing the relay 26 on an uncoupling operation circuit 16 of the automatic coupling cover 14 and the automatic coupler 12, a highly reliable interlocking means can be constructed not only on a new vehicle but also on an uncoupling operation circuit 16 of an existing vehicle without making particular changes to the controlling means 20 of the automatic coupler 12 and an uncoupling operation switch 24 of the automatic coupler 12.
