PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect delay characteristics (delay distortion) of an input signal and to automatically compensate for these delay characteristics.
SOLUTION: This device is provided with an inclined delay equalizing part 1A for compensating the delay characteristics of the input signal, corresponding to the required inclined delay characteristics and a control part 2A for specifying the direction of changing the value of any one signal I (or Q) between digital demodulated signals I and Q for the input signal, detecting error information from the other signal Q (or I) orthogonal to such a signal I (or Q) and outputting a control signal for the inclined delay equalizing part 1A, based on the correlation between this error information and the direction of changing the value of one signal I (or Q).
