Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust energy demand.SOLUTION: The electric power flexibility of energy loads is maximized by using a value function. The loads are collected to a virtual load by maximizing a global value function including the value function of each load. The solution determines a ratio of energy to be allocated to each load, an electric power level that temporally changes within a time interval about each load, and a control parameter and value. An economic item of the global value function represents the value of flexibility to a different player. A user interface includes the maximum electric power that can be consumed by the virtual load and an upper bound and a lower bound representing the maximum electric power that can be consumed by the virtual load about each time interval. An energy trader corrects an energy level within the time interval to a reference curve of the virtual load. Energy compensation and an upper boundary and a lower boundary of other intervals are re-calculated and displayed. An energy schedule for the virtual load is distributed to actual loads by using a distribution function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
