PURPOSE: To obtain the automatic developing machine capable of maintaining the water content of a photosensitive material and its drying characteristics both constant.
CONSTITUTION: The rinsing water of a rinsing bath 18 is controlled to a prescribed temperature by temperature control means, such as a recycling pump 30, a heater 34, and the like, thus permitting the water content of the photosensitive material F drawn toward a squeezing zone 46 to be kept constant, and rubber rollers 42 of ≥61° hardness and rubber rollers 44 of 30°-60° hardness are arranged in the squeezing zone 46, thus permitting a squeezing capacity to be enhanced by combination of the hard and soft rubbers. Since the diffusivity of heat of the rubber rollers 42, 44 are small as 0.1mm2/sec, the photosensitive material F is not lowered in temperature and the water content can be kept constant, thus permitting the photosensitive material F to be uniformly dried without causing uneven drying.
