A body storage box 65 with a locking mechanism 75 is disposed in an automatic developing service machine 41. A unit body after extraction of a film cartridge from a film unit by a cartridge removal mechanism drops in the box 65 through a tubular member 66. The unit body passing through the tubular member 66 is detected by a sensor 73 and unit bodies are counted. When the number of the unit bodies reaches the maximum number P, a specified recovery agency is informed and a rotary cover to a throwing hole is locked. The cover locked by the locking mechanism 75 is unlocked with the key which only the specified recovery agency owns, a door 70 is opened and the unit bodies are collected from the box 65. When there is abnormality such as breakdown of the locking mechanism 75, the message is sent by radio and an alarm is activated to make a warning sound.
