Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the easiness and safety in works of joining and separating an earth auger screw shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A hexagonal female part 13 is formed at an upper shaft 12 while a hexagonal male part 16 is formed on a screw shaft 15, and a cotter 26 is provided which is fitted in a pair of grooves 17 formed in the hexagonal male part 16 and a long hole 14 formed in the hexagonal female part. A pressure oil is supplied to an oil sump 30, and a camber 22 is moved up so that the cotter 26 is put free to generate unlocking, and the oil is exhausted from the sump 30, and the camber 22 is moved down by a spring 25. Engagement of the cotter 26 with the grooves 17 is generated by a cone part 24 formed at the camber 22, followed by locking.
