To provide an automatic document conveyer provided with an intermediate tray, and capable of eliminating easily the clogging of a document, even when an obstacle exists in an upper part of a document mounting part.
This automatic document conveyer is provided with the document mounting part 710, a document accumulation part 720, the intermediate tray 730 for partitioning a space between the document mounting part 710 and the document accumulation part 720 into the first space K1 and the second space K2, the first document discharge part 702 for discharging the document G into the first space K1, the second document discharge part 703 for discharging one portion of the document G into the second space K2, the first conveying means 704 for conveying the document G of the document mounting part 710 to an image reading position J, the second conveying means 705 for conveying the document G of the image reading position J to the first document discharge part 702, and the third conveying means 706 for obverse/reverse-inverting the document G of the image reading position J, using the second space K2, to be reconveyed to the image reading position J, and the intermediate tray 730 is constituted to be freely turnable along a direction approaching to the document accumulation part 720 from the condition where a free end side is adjacent to the document mounting part 710, around a base end part side as the rotation center.
