To provide an automatic document conveying device capable of adequately loading an image of a document while suppressing any increase of the number of components and the assembly man-hours.
A reading guide member 70 comprises a first inclined part 71 in which a lower side thereof is inclined in a forwardly upward manner slightly toward the upstream side of the reading position R so as to guide a document P to the reading position R, a second inclined part 72 which extends toward the reading position R from a downstream end of the first inclined part 71 while the angle of inclination of the inclined surface is smaller than that of the first inclined part 71, a horizontal part 73 having a horizontal surface corresponding to the reading position R and extending horizontally from a downstream end of the second inclined part 72, and a third inclined part 74 which is inclined in a forwardly upward manner from a downstream end of the horizontal part 73, and formed in an inverted trapezoidal shape when viewed from the document width direction orthogonal to the document conveying direction. The second inclined part 72 has a swollen projecting part 75 which is arc-shaped when viewed from the document width direction orthogonal to the document conveying direction.
