PURPOSE: To feed successive documents at a sufficient high speed without making a device large-sized and expensive by loosening the successive documents between a feeding belt mechanism and a pin tractor except a time that the feeding of the successive documents is finished and transmitting the large part of feeding force to the successive documents from the feeding belt mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A feeding means is constituted of both of the feeding belt mechanism 34 and the pin tractor mechanism 94. When the successive documents 84 are fed, the documents 84 is loosened between the mechanism 34 and the mechanism 95 except the time that the feeding of the documents 84 is finished. Then, most part of the feeding force required for feeding the documents 84 is transmitted to the documents 84 from the mechanism 34 and the documents 84 are not loosened when the feeding of the documents 84 is finished. Therefore, the large feeding force need not be transmitted to the documents 84 from the mechanism 94 and the documents 84 can be fed at a sufficient high speed by the action of the mechanism 34. Thus, the feeding speed of the successive documents is accelerated without making the device large-sized and expensive.
