Title:
AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP03103873
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To carry a double-sided document at high speed and to shorten document replacement time by changing the position where the following paper in a one-sided document mode is tentatively stopped, and setting it to the other prescribed position, when a double-sided document mode in which the double-sided document is automatically inverted and a double-sided copy is produced is set.

CONSTITUTION: When scanning exposure is started by an optical system 103 on the copying machine main body side, the following document is sent out before or during the scanning exposure; when the following paper is fed via a feeding roller 3 and an intermediate carrying roller 5, and the front edge of the following document passes through a document passage detecting sensor PS3, a detecting signal is generated; a paper feeding clad K2 is turned off by counting a timer; the following document is stopped in the prescribed position and is made to stand by. That is, before the double-sided exposure of the preceding document and the end of inverting carrying the document, the following document is started to be fed at low speed; it is tentatively stopped in the prescribed position, which does not overlap an inverting path, on this side of an image exposure part, and is made to stand by. Thus, document separate feeding can be securely and sufficiently carried out, and the document replacement time can be shortened.
