PURPOSE: To prevent a document from being ejected with a rush at the document ejecting time by controlling a motor to restart driving after being stopped once responding to a detected result of a detecting means which detects the end tip of the document.

CONSTITUTION: The document D1 ad the document D2 are carried together by a carrying belt 52, and the leading tip of the document D1 is detected by whether or not a second switch 58 is turned on or not. Next, whether or not the second switch 58 is turned off or not is checked, and the end tip of the document D1 is detected. When the end tip is detected, a second direct current motor 62 is turned off once, and the feeding belt 52 and a pair of ejecting rollers 57 are stopped. After that, the second direct current motor 62 is turned on again, the feeding belt 52 and the pair of ejecting rollers 57 are driven, the document D1 is ejected onto an ejecting plate 39 during the period while the second direct current motor 62 is being accelerated. Thus the speed at the time of ejection of the document D is slowed down.
