PURPOSE: To prevent an irregular movement of documents on a document loading board when the document loading board is raised from the lowered position to the raised position.
CONSTITUTION: A document loading board 5 on which documents PB after the feeding are loaded is raised from the lowered position to the raised position by making a support shaft 4 as the center, by an elevating means G. A weight 39 at a partitioning position is raised by a partition driving means 39C. In this case, the elevating means G and the partition driving means 39°C are operated almost synchronously by a control means 39D, so as to raise the document loading board 5 and the weight 39 almost synchronously. Consequently, for a little while after starting the raising, the the positions of the documents PB. on the document loading board 5 are regulated by the weight 39.
