Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device, a vehicle control method, an automatic driving device, and an automatic driving method, which can reduce a risk that may occur while a vehicle is traveling.SOLUTION: An automatic driving device used in a vehicle capable of automatic driving comprises: an automatic driving function unit (26) which automatically performs an avoidance action so as to avoid proximity between the own vehicle and a surrounding vehicle when a distance between the own vehicle and the surrounding vehicle is less than a safety distance; a prediction unit (252) which predicts an occurrence of a deviating action that deviates from the action in line with a travel control of the own vehicle or the surrounding vehicle; and an adjustment unit (253) for increasing the safety distance when the prediction unit (252) predicts the occurrence of the deviation action compared to when the prediction unit (252) does not predict the occurrence of the deviation action.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
