Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an automatic engagement device of a gear grinding machine which is capable of stably executing the automatic phase correction between a grinding wheel and a gear by correcting the changes in the phase data due to eccentricity of the gear.
CONSTITUTION: A work pitch measuring circuit 92 of a phase correcting circuit 68 receives the work detecting signal and the output signal of a 1/2 dividing circuit 100 to divide the rotational displacement of the grinding wheel, and measures the pitch of the gear by counting the output signal of the 1/2 dividing circuit 100 for the time when the work detecting signal is outputted. Then, the correcting circuit 96 starts counting of the pulses which are outputted from a rotation detector when the work detecting signal immediately after the measurement of the gear pitch is received. A corrected pulse outputting circuit obtains the modified signal corresponding to the center position of the tooth tip.
