PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform mutual comparison and evaluation by automatically measuring many antioxidants under the same condition at the same time without the personal errors of measuring persons.
CONSTITUTION: An automatic evaluating apparatus for antioxidant has the parts performing the following functions. A plurality of sample containers 12 have agitating pieces 26, which turn the sample solutions in the containers at the specified speed. A constant temperature oven 10 keeps the temperatures of a plurality of the sample containers 12 at the specified temperature. A sucking nozzle 14 is arranged in each sample container 12 and samples the sample solution. A measuring device 20 measures the oxidation degree of the sample solution based on the optical characteristics of the picked-up sample solution. A pump 18 sucks the specified amount of the sample solution and returns the solution into the container 12 after the measurement. A returning nozzle 16 returns the sample solution into each sample container 12 after the measurement. A computer 22 controls the pickup of the sample at every specified time and the measurements with a plurality of flow cells. Lightguide fibers 28 introduce the light into a plurality of the sample container. Air feeding pipes 30 introduce reaction gas into a plurality of the sample containers.
