This automatic excreta processing apparatus is provided with a detecting means for detecting the operating state of this device and the health condition of a person to be attended, a deciding means for deciding normality/ abnormality from detected data, a data storage means for storing decision data and a communication means for communication with an attendant from outside. When abnormality is decided by the deciding means, the communication means is driven and the contents of abnormality are reported to the external attendant by utilizing a public line. When there is a call from the outside through the public line, the communication means is driven and the stored data are sent out.
