To provide an automatic excretion treatment apparatus for sufficiently washing contaminations by the excrement of a user inside a diaper cup, and an automatic excretion treatment method.

The automatic excretion treatment apparatus is provided with an air/water mixing part 201 for crushing and washing the excrement by an intermittent stream obtained by mixing hot air for drying and washing water, thereby water and air are instantaneously and alternately jetted many times from a nozzle 50 inside the diaper cup to the excrement 207. That is, by mixing the washing water and the air and making them pass through a washing path 704 which is a narrow pipe, the flow speed of a mixed gas is increased and the contained air is compressed by the washing water. Inversely, the compressed air is rapidly expanded in the nozzle 50 which is the exit of the washing path 704. By impact at the time, the excrement 207 of the user inside the diaper cup is crushed and sufficiently washed.
