To make it possible to use charging equipment on the ground side to earth an automatic guide vehicle through its body, by installing a pair of discharging means in the fore-and-aft direction of a charging coupler.

A pair of discharging brushes 18, 18 are installed on a vehicle body in the fore-and-aft direction of a negative pole-side charging coupler 12. The pair of the discharging brushes 18, 18 are insulated from the vehicle body using insulators 19, and are connected with the vehicle body through insulation resistance. The pair of the discharging brushes 18, 18 are placed so that the distance between them and the charging coupler 12 is equal to or larger than the length of ground-side couplers 20, 22 to prevent the discharging brush 18 and the charging coupler 12 are not brought into contact with the ground-side couplers 20, 22 at the same time. Ground-side charging equipment includes ground-side couplers 20 (negative pole), 22 (positive pole), and the pair of the discharging brushes 18, 18 are brought into contact only with the ground-side coupler 20 (negative pole). As a result, the ground-side charging equipment can be used to earth the automatic guided vehicle through its body. Further, the automatic guided vehicle can be earthed through its body before charging regardless of the direction in which the automatic guided vehicle is traveling.
