To provide an automatic hydrant having simple structure without need of electric control, and automatically feeding or stopping water also without utilizing water pressure at the end opening of a feed-water pipeline.
This automatic hydrant 1 is provided with a slide pipe 5 sliding a connecting pipe 4 connected to the end opening of the feed-water pipeline 2 up and down, and a float 7 coupled to the slide pipe 5. Such a structure is provided that the float 7 and also the slide pipe 5 descend when a water level begins to come down from a predetermined water level H, and the upper end opening 40 of the connecting pipe 4 is gradually opened so as to make a water supply amount increase little by little, and on the other hand, the float 7 and also the slide pipe 5 rise when the water level goes up, and the upper end opening 40 of the connecting pipe 4 gradually closes so as to make the water supply amount reduce little by little. Through such a mechanism, the automatic hydrant needs no electric control, has simple structure, and feeds and stops water automatically without utilizing any water pressure.
