Title:
AUTOMATIC ICE MAKING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3483735
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an amount of ice stored and a state of an ice chipper tray by means of a single sensor.
SOLUTION: A lever 19 is provided to an output gear 14 which is rotated by a motor, in such a manner that the lever 19 is rotated in conjunction with the linkage between a first cam groove and a first pin 20. Further, it is so designed that a shaft portion 11a of a detection lever 11 is rotated according to the linkage between a second cam groove 16 and a second pin 22. Furthermore, an ice chipper tray 9 is connected to the output gear 14. When the output gear 14 is rotated in a backward direction D, the rotation of the detection lever 11 is allowed in the direction shown by the arrow E, and ice is detected depending upon whether an ice detecting magnet 24 allows Hall ICs to effect ON operation. When the output gear 14 is rotated in a forward direction C, the lever 19 is operated, and a position detecting magnet 21 allows the Hall ICs to effect ON operation. Consequently, the inversion finish of the ice chipper tray 9 is detected.
