PURPOSE: To easily and safely execute the recovery work at the time of developing any abnormality.

CONSTITUTION: This instrument is composed of a carry-in part 11, inspection part 12, sorting part 13, defective carry-out part 14, non-defective carry-out part 15 and carrying mechanism 16, and a work is automatically inspected and sorted whether the work is good or not. It is detected by abnormality detecting mechanism 73 that the abnormality, such as obstruction to carry of the work, occurs, and a stopping command is transmitted to control mechanism 71. At the time of receiving this stopping command, the control mechanism 71 returns the above parts 11-15 and the carrying mechanism 16 back to the initial condition. After exhausting the air from air cylinders used to these parts, this instrument is stopped. No trouble occurs in the recovery work because the instrument is stopped after returning back to the initial condition. The safety is secured because the air is exhausted from the air cylinders.
