Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make inspection highly accurate and automatic by providing an automatic supporting mechanism for positioning an inspection device and a female screw to be inspected and a detector comprising a fitting mechanism for a plug gage, an overload preventing mechanism, a compressed air supplying mechanism, etc. CONSTITUTION:A work with a female screw to be inspected drilled and an inspector 31a with a plug gage 06, etc., provided are positioned by an automatic supporting mechanism. Then a forth- and back-advancing mechanism 20 and a rotating mechanism 23 are actuated synchronously with screw pitches. Eccentricity of the female screw and the gage 06 is automatically adjusted by a core adjusting mechanism 29. When the female screw size is too small for the gage 06 to be inserted, an overload detecting ring 28 retreats to have an overload sensor 27a actuated to make the gage 06 retreat. When the gage 06 is inserted into the female screw, the screw length is detected, and if it is shorter than regulated length, overload detection 27 is done similarly. If the screw length test is passed, the gage 06 is retreated to a predetermined position and then compressed air 09 is supplied to the gage 06. Then a backpressure detecting mechanism 30 determines whether the maximum size of the screw is good.
