The equipment further comprises a boxing device 4 for pushing each stack of cartons carried by the second belt conveyor 12 into an empty box KB carried by a third belt conveyor 13. The separating device 1 separates each carton such that the longitudinal direction of the carton is perpendicular to the carrying direction of the first belt conveyor 11.
