PURPOSE: To enable facilitation of automatic lighting-off, by a method wherein a device is constituted such that, when, after a winker switch is changed over to a right turn or a left turn position, a normally-opening type lighting-off switch, situated on a lamp flickering circuit, can be made.

CONSTITUTION: When a control knob 4 is slid rightward when, for example, right turn is effected, contacts 201 and 203 are interconnected through a moving contact plate 501, and a first electromagnetic relay 601 is energized to close contacts 71W73. Thus, right front and rear flasher lamps L1 and L2 are flickered through the action of a flasher relay 8. An electromagnetic coil 41 of a lighting- off switch making mechanism 16 is energized, and an electromagnetic clutch in the mechanism 16 is connected. This causes starting of a running distance measuring mechanism, and when, after the control knob 4 is controlled, it is measured that a vehicle runs for a given distance of, for example, 200m, the lighting- off switch 13 is opened, the electromagnetic relay 601 is deenergized, and this causes lighting-off of the flash lamps L1 and L2.
