Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency in barrel plating work by providing double walls in the wall part of a barrel and putting objects to be plated in and out through the opening thereof in subjecting a large number of small sized objects to be plated to chemical plating by a barrel method. CONSTITUTION:Double wall openings are formed by walls 3, 4 in one or plural places of a barrel 2 to be loaded with objects 6 to be plated and used in a barrel method plating device. This barrel 2 is immersed in a plating bath 1, and a large number of objects 6 to be plated are loaded from a hopper 5 into the barrel 2 through the double wall openings. After all the objects 6 are contained into the barrel 2 by rotating the barrel one turn in an arrow direction, again the objects 6 are loaded fromthe hopper 5 into the barrel. Objects 8, 9 to be plated are increased in the barrel 2 by repeating this, and are used as cathode by means of feed lines thence electricity is conducted between the cathode and the anode in the plating bath, and the barrel is rotated, whereby the objects 6 are plated. The objects 6 are perfectly and easily removed through the double openings by the reverse rotation of the barrel 2, whereby the working efficiency is improved.
