Abstract:
To shorten a travel path to shorten the idle times in which workpieces are not being machined.
This automatic loading two-spindle machining apparatus includes: one machine frame (1); one tool support (4); and two workpiece spindles (3, 3'). The workpiece spindles (3, 3') are provided at the machine frame (1) movably in a vertical direction. The tool support (4) is movable in a horizontal direction to the machine frame (1) so that the workpiece spindles (3, 3') pick up a workpiece (9) from loading positions (12, 12'), convey them to working positions (13, 13'), and perform feed movement. In this machining apparatus, the loading positions (12, 12') are provided below the workpiece spindles (3, 3') within extensions of spindle axes (15, 15').
