Abstract:
To provide an automatic locking lock smoothly operated and improved in reliability.
A latch bolt 5 serving as a dead bolt is guided movably in a longitudinal direction perpendicular to a front plate 11, and energized forward by the resilience of the latch spring 12 in a direction to project a latch head 7 out of the front plate 11, whereas a slider 15 is provided movably in the longitudinal direction near the latch bolt 5, and a rack plate 22 is integrally connected to the slider 15. Further, a pinion gear 23 integrally and coaxially connected to a tumbler 2 is meshed with the rack plate 22.
