PURPOSE: To solve the point at issue in the past that when a work is machined by such a tool as having no interchangeability, if the tool is won out, it is removed from a machine and it is regound and measured at another place and then it is reattached to the machine for machining, so that there is taken much time for programming while stoppage of the machine becomes prolonged, leading to a drop in productivity (operation rate).
CONSTITUTION: A tool 41 is positioned to a work machining station 37 and a work 95 is machined. It is featured that when polishing for the tool 41 becomes required, it is rotated as far as 180° for positioning, thus polishing or grinding the tool 41 and its measurement are repeated, through which machining is performed by this reground tool 41.
