PURPOSE: To provide low-cost and universally adaptable automatic measurement compensation for NC machine tool, by decoding work information by means of a microcomputer and giving a command of measurement and compensation to the NC device.
CONSTITUTION: As the tape gets started in an NC device 3, a signal 32 is transmitted to a processor 2 which in turn transmits a signal 21 to a data source 1. When information 11 from the source 1 is a normal pattern of work information, the processor 2 passes it to the NC device 3 as information 12 without modification. If the information concerns command of measurement or compensation of unusual pattern, it is decoded by the processor 2 and a measurement command, if any, is converted into information 12 concerning application of a detector 5 to a work 6 and given to the NC device 3. If it is a compensation command, the amount of compensation previously stored is read out in accordance with the command number and fed in the NC device 3.
