PURPOSE: The titled apparatus capable of performing the rapid treatment of a large number of liquid specimens in parallel, constituted from such a mechanism that a filter membrane is placed on the filter plate of a membrane filter and a raw liquid to be filtered is introduced into the space part of a pressure barrel contacted with a filter bottom plate under pressure by a press plate to perform pressure filtration.
CONSTITUTION: In a large number of parallelly arranged membrane filters of a liquid automatic membrane filter apparatus, a filter membrane 7 is provided in the recess formed on the upper surface of a disc shaped filter bottom plate 5 mounted to a fixed frame 3 and a pressure barrel 11 is mounted on the upper peripheral edge thereof through an O-ring 9 and a spring 13 in a liquid tight state while a raw liquid to be filtered is introduced into the space part 13 of the pressure barrel 11 from a raw liquid introducing plug 15. Subsequently, a press plate 17 mounted to a plunger 19 subjected to rising and falling operation is fallen by a pnumatic actuator 21 and the nozzle 23 thereof is inserted into the orifice 11b of the above-mentioned pressure barrel 11 and inlaid therewith through an O-ring 27 in a liquid-tight state. In the next step, the raw liquid in the space part 13 is filtered under pressure by compressed air introduced through a compressed air inlet 25a, an air passage 25 and the nozzle orifice 23a while the filtrate is taken out from the filtrate outlet 5a of the filter bottom plate 5.
