PURPOSE: To surely perform the test in a short period by discriminating a terminal equipment to be normal or abnormal in a test equipment by a test signal.

CONSTITUTION: A CPU 2 of an automatic meter examination terminal equipment 1 is reset by the reset signal of a test equipment 7, and the test equipment 7 discriminates the automatic meter examination terminal equipment 1 to be normal or abnormal by the test signal which is outputted by the CPU 2 by prescribed operation corresponding to the program stored in a ROM 3. That is, the test equipment 7 inputs the reset signal to the CPU 2 to initialize the CPU 2 at the time of executing the final test of the automatic meter examination terminal equipment 1, and the test signal is outputted before the normal operation is started in accordance with the program in the ROM 3. The test equipment 7 decides whether the test signal is as prescribed or not to discriminate the normal operation start of the automatic meter examination terminal equipment 1. Consequently, a special test input for operation start is unnecessary.
