Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic molten metal feeder for a cold chamber die casting machine in which various problems of a conventional automatic molten metal feeder for the cold chamber die casting machine are solved and metering property is provided with high accuracy.SOLUTION: In an automatic molten metal feeder of aluminum, aluminum alloy, and magnesium alloy, a through hole is arranged at the bottom of a pan 2 in a holding furnace equipped with a heat source. A cylinder 3 includes a molten metal inflow hole 11. A piston 10 is fitted and includes a driving source 12 which vertically moves the piston 10. A nearly horizontal end part of a joint 4 is connected to a molten metal supply pipe 7 which is a molten metal flow passage and also a molten metal storage part outside of the pan 2. A base end part of the molten metal supply pipe 7 is connected to an open/close valve 8 equipped with a driving source 13 by which the direction of the molten metal flow passage is changed to the downward and nearly perpendicular direction. When the piston 10 comes down, the molten metal stored in the molten metal storage part goes through the molten metal passage to be capable of supplying to an injection sleeve 102 of a cold chamber die casting machine.
