Title:
AUTOMATIC MOLTEN METAL POURING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05293633
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To precisely adjust quantity and speed of molten metal poured into a mold by descending and dipping an immersion member into the molten metal in a molten metal pouring part of a ladle held at a fixed level.

CONSTITUTION: By pressurizing the surface of molten metal in a molten metal storing part 3 of the ladle 1 with compressed gas, the molten metal level in the molten metal pouring part 4 is ascended to the level of the pouring hole 4a. Successively, by working a lifting means 10 arranged to an arm 9 fixed to the ladle 1, the immersion member 11 engaged with the lifting means is descended and dipped into the molten metal in the molten metal pouring part 4. The molten metal corresponding to the volume pushed aside with this immersion member 11 is discharged from the pouring hole 4a at the speed according to the descending speed of the immersion member 11 and poured into the mold laid below the pouring hole 4a.
