PURPOSE: To provide an automatic molten metal pouring method, which can stabilize the quality of a product and can suitably execute by using a ladle tilting molten metal pouring device and a stopper-nozzle type molten metal pouring device, by controlling pouring rate of the molten metal in high accuracy without precisely manufacturing the ladle or the other device and automating the safe molten metal pouring work.
CONSTITUTION: At the prescribed position (L, H) near a molten metal pouring hole 1a in the ladle 1, an image device (image sensor) 2 is set and the size of a pouring flow line T of the molten metal dropped from the pouring hole 1a is caught as a video and this projecting area S is measured. When the detected area signal is smaller than that of the reference signal, the tilting speed of the ladle is quickened to increase the size of the molten metal pouring flow line. ON the other hand, when the detected area signal is larger than that of the reference signal, the tilting speed of the ladle is made to slow to decrease the size of the molten metal pouring flow line.
