Title:
AUTOMATIC MUSIC SELECTOR OF RECORD PLAYER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5928269
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease the waiting time and to lower accurately a stylus, by comparing the present position of an arm detected by a sensor with a designated low-speed position of arm preceding a desired music to move an arm, then, driving the arm at a low speed up to a desired position when the coincidence is obtained for the output of comparison.

CONSTITUTION: An optical sensor 1 which detects a soundless groove is connected to a counter circuit 3, and the circuit 3 counts the soundless grooves with a shift of an arm. The counted music addresses are stored to an RAM4, and the music fed by a music selection key 5 is stored to an RAM6 in order of designation. An ROM7 stores a prescribed program. The arm moves at a high speed in response to the program and then reaches the outer circumference edge of a disk, and the sensor 1 detects a soundless groove. Then the circuit 3 counts the soundless grooves, and the address is stored to the RAM4. At the same time, the music selection information of the RAM6 is read out to a CPU8 and compared with the number of counts to decide whether the name of music is designated or not. If the name of music is not designated, the procedure proceeds further. Thus the information is read out again out of the RAM6 to decide whether a groove exists on music that is earlier one piece than the desired music or not. If said groove is not decided, the arm is shifted at a high speed. While the groove is decided, the arm is shifted at a low speed.
