To provide an automatic oil feeding device and its method in a drawing machine in which control of an optimum oil feed volume can be performed consistently even in any speed condition.

The automatic oil feeding device in the drawing machine is equipped with a plurality of grippers for gripping both ends of running sheet-like things and an oil feed means for a portion between guide rails for guiding the grippers. The automatic oil feeding device and its method in the drawing machine include a presetting means for setting the oil feed volume to be fed at a given speed of the drawing machine, a speed detecting means of the drawing machine, and a control means for calculating the oil feed volume at the speed detected from the oil feed volume set by the preset means on the basis of the speed detected by the speed detecting means to control the oil feed means so that the oil feed volume calculated is realized.
