PURPOSE: To convey an original without any damage by using a flow of air.

CONSTITUTION: An original sheet 4, while floating by the Coanda effect by a blower 11, is conveyed onto platen glass 3 along an original guide 12 to strike a resist pin 13, where it is positioned. The blowing of the blower 11 is stopped, and the original guide 12 is lowered to press the original 4 against the platen, thereby performing exposure. After the exposure, the resist pin 13 is elevated and the blowing of the blower 11 is restarted, so that the original sheet 4 is discharged while floating.
