Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance easiness in handling by moving a pulley in the vertical direction so that the oversurface of a sheet feed belt shifts to below the normal level of a original sheet at the time of sheet feed, when an original set sensor is out of actuation, and shifts to the normal level when the sensor is actuated, and thereby providing possibility of setting an original without encountering a resistance.
CONSTITUTION: When a copying machine is at a standstill, an original set pawl 2 is in the up-position to block a sheet feed path so that orginal text sheet is in detention, and an original set sensor 101 is put in the non-sensing condition. A pulley 4B is sunk, and the oversurface of a sheet feed belt 4 on the original receipt side is shifted lower than the normal level at the time of sheet feed and the belt 4 is retreated. When the original is placed on a table 1 and set by push-in until it runs against the pawl 2, the sensor 101 senses it, and the pulley 4B is moved in the vertical direction so as to shift to the normal level. Thereby the original can be set without encountering a resistance, and the easiness in handling is enhanced.
