PURPOSE: To carry an original smoothly to a copying machine without causing a misfeed even in case of an original on which a curl is generated, by providing a curl holder on the inside of a cover for opening and closing an opening of an original containing part.

CONSTITUTION: A cover 5 which is freely opened and closed is installed through a hinge 6 to an opening of an original containing part 4, and one end of a curl holder 7 is attached pivotally so as to be freely turnable to its inside. The other end side of the curl holder 7 is provided projectingly on an original carrying-out port 9 side, so that a curl generated on the end part of an original 10 is reformed by pressing down from above the end part of the carrying-out port 9 side of the original 10 contained in a laminated state in the original containing part 4. On the other hand, an original handling device 14 utilizing an air pressure, and a vacuum feeder 11 consisting of a feed belt 11a and an absorbing means 11b are separated from each other in the upper and lower directions and provided in the vicinity of the original carrying-out port 9, and the original 10 contained in the original containing part 4 is carried out exactly by one sheet each from below, to the carrying-out port 9.
