To provide an automatic packer capable of positioning each unit composing the packer for executing an operation at accurate processing positions and operation timing.
According to the automatic packer, a packaging film printed with positioning marks at every a prescribed distance is pulled out consecutively and is supplied to a packer body 30, and then articles to be packaged are supplied sequentially into the film. As the article covered with the packaging film is transferred in the packer body, prescribed positions of the packaging film are sealed and/or cut to make a package. In the packer body, mark sensors S5, S2, S3, S4 for detecting the positioning marks are arranged just before a side sealer 32, a first sealing unit 36, a second sealing unit 37, and a die roll cutter 38 for sealing and cutting, respectively, and a controller 2 executes the correction control of each unit on the basis of a detection signal from each mark sensor when the distances between the mark sensors are shifted from an ideal one.
