Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten a page feed processing time and to enhance reliability by providing a means comparing the page mark read during the turning-over of pages by a page mark reading means with the content of a final page mark memory means.
CONSTITUTION: Optical sensors 19, 20 controlling the position of a passbook 1 are arranged on both sides of a medium feed path. An optical sensor 21 detecting the apex of middle paper 3 during page feed operation is arranged between a page feed roller 18 and a pressure roller 15 and a reflection sensor 22 reading a page mark and line data is made movable in an A-B direction. The page mark reading means of an automatic page feed apparatus reads the page mark P of a page turned over next during page feed operation to output the same to a comparison means. The comparison means compares the inputted page mark P with the content Pn of a final page mark memory means and outputs a page feed completion signal at the time of P=Pn. At the time of P>Pn, a retry signal is outputted and, at the time of P<Pn, a page feed operation signal is outputted.
