An automatic page turning device comprises a single page turning means 11 which turns one page by one instruction, a number of sheets designation request means 12 which requests page turning by designating at least the number of sheets regarding a book such as a passbook having a plurality of pages, and a repetition instruction means 15 which repeats the instruction to the single page turning means 11 by the number of times equal to the designated number of sheets.
