To avoid a tendency of expansion from contacting with the roller and wound therearound by forming a mechanism that when a roller of an automatic page turning over mechanism comes in press contact with a page to be turned over and the page is turned up through its rotation, the tip end of the page contacts with the belt rotating in the turning up direction to be further tuned up by a drive of the motor.

At the commencement of an automatic page tuning over operation, the solenoid 28 is turned on, and a shaft 24 is rotated in the E direction of arrow to permit the pressure roller 17 to be in contact with a bankbook 2 from its underside, in this operation, a page turning over roller 10 is comes in contact with the end part of turned over pages of the bankbook 2. Following this, the page tuning over motor 22 is rotated positively to cause the page turning over roller 10 to rotate in the A direction of arrow with the result that a first page starts turning over through the friction between it and the page turning over roller 10. Furthermore, as a driving motor 37 is driven to travel the belt 35, the tip end of the turned over first page comes in contact with the belt 35, however, the contacted part thereof is projected to the transportation roller 13a side from the outer periphery surface of the page tuning over roller 10 to thereby ensure an interstice between the pages and the page turning over roller 10, thus a page tuning over operation is done without involving a tendency of expansion of the bankbook in the vicinity of its bound part into the page turning over roller 10.
