PURPOSE: To simplify an internal mechanism and reduce the size thereof and to reduce a cost, by a method wherein an arm is secured to a forward rotating feed roller shaft, and through rocking of the arm in a feed direction, a feed roller is rotated in a feed direction, and when the arm is rocked in a reverse direction to the above, the feed roller is freely rotated.

CONSTITUTION: When, with motor run forward, a feed roller shaft 10 is rotated in a feed direction, an arm 13 is rocked, and a feed auxiliary roller 15 is brought into contact with the under surface of an original 24 placed on an original table 20. The original 24 is delivered by means of the feed auxiliary roller 15 and a feed roller 11. When the original 24 is conveyed to a conveyance roller 18, a motor is reversed, the feed roller shaft 10 is rotated in a direction reverse to the above, the arm 13 is rocked in a direction reverse to the above, and the feed auxiliary roller 15 is separated from the original on the original table. Simultaneously, the roller 18 is brought into contact with the delivered original 24, and the original 24 is conveyed in a feed direction. This constitution enables simplification of an internal mechanism and reduction of the size thereof.
