PURPOSE: To obtain an automatic paper feeder which can be compactly connected to a recorder and stably placed even when being removed from the recorder and to reduce a containing space by a method wherein a paper feed cassette component and a paper feed drive component are loaded on a support mount, and the support mount doubles a part of a paper discharge tray.
CONSTITUTION: A frame 33 is fixed on a support mount 34. A paper feed cassette component 31 and a paper feed drive component 32 are loaded on the frame 33. A manual insertion paper supply port 124 is provided under the paper feed cassette component 31. Furthermore, an extractable paper discharge tray component 35 is incorporated inside the support mount 34. A recessed part 85 is formed between the support mount 34 and the frame 33. When a paper feeder is connected to a recorder, a projected part 21 of the recorder is inserted to the recessed part 85, whereby the devices can be stably and compactly connected with each other.
