PURPOSE: To give paper no excessive tension in design, by installing a tractor, which conveys the paper with a paper feed hole engaged, and a pinch roller driving it at a higher speed than that of the tractor in keeping the contact and separation position of the paper, in an automatic paper loader.
CONSTITUTION: When paper 5 is conveyed, a rotary detection gauge 25 detects the taling-out quantity of the paper 5 whereby a pulse signal is inputted into a counter 27. When the number of pulses being preset accords with the number of inputted pulses, a motor 23 outputs a stop signal to a motor driving circuit 24, stopping the conveyance of the paper 5. After the elapse of the specified time, the computer 23 outputs a drive signal to the circuit 24, starting the conveyance of the paper 5. And, another counter 29 outputs the drive signal to a driving circuit 30 of a pinch roller transfer motor 31 after the elapse of the specified time, causing a pinch roller 14 to be shifted to the position of another pinch roller 14' and stopping the driving motor of the pinch roller 14. Thus, the paper is conveyed by a paper cover 15 and each of tractors 7 and 8 and any excessive tension is made so as not to be given to the paper by means of the pinch roller 14.
