Abstract:
To reduce a level of contact risk between a vehicle and the other object.SOLUTION: An upper limit speed of a vehicle in automatic parking control is set, and the vehicle is automatically parked in a parking space (2) at a vehicle speed equal to or lower than the set upper limit speed. In such a case, the upper limit speed is set according to a body size of the vehicle and if the body size of the vehicle is larger than a preset size, the upper limit speed is set lower than that of a case where the body size of the vehicle is smaller than the preset size.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
